I am excited to release to you all this little ditty I wrote about a year ago

Yes it's very different from my typical bass heavy electroswing chaphop tracks however... I do like to keep you all on your toes!

A bit of swinging dixie clarinet twinned with my usually witty lyrics, filmed in the glorious "Kinema in the Woods - Woodhall Spa" with a special guest performance by Mr Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq!

I introduce you all to "CAN'T TEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS"

A couple of reasons why this track is so special to me
Firstly, I wrote the entire thing, the chords, the words the rhythm, the style - everything
Most of my music I find samples and blend, mix or ask producers to create in the style of
But this little baby was all me!

Secondly, it features on the latest Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq album - "Making Friends at 40"!
After featuring on Tom's track "Let's try to turn it on" it was Tom's turn to guest on my track - anyway - he loved it so much, well - you know the rest!

You can't teach an old dog new tricks

Somethings in life are hard,
I just don't know where to start
So I decide to stick to what I know
But that just ain't the way
In this modern age and day
And there for this is what my friends all have to say!
(We have to say)

That's why you can't teach an old dog new tricks
'Cos if it's not broke then it don't need to be fixed
Stuck in my ways, some say I'm strange
But I just ain't a fan of change
That's why you
Can't teach an old dog new tricks

Now then, folk call me fashionable
But this old thing's smart casual
Too sentimental nothing goes to waste
Stop caring what you're wearing
Go bold, go bright, go daring!
I've been wearing these since 1998

Call me a traditionalist of sorts
I'd win if it were a sport
'Cos I'm the very best at being me!
A leopard changes spots, more often than my socks
Never too old to learn
Now then we shall see!
(Now we shall see!)

Now then, where was I?
The world wide web is just one big hole
An eternity to find that discount code
The box at checkout means that one exists!
I won't give up, it's just not me
Feeling cheated of free delivery
My friends think I should just resist and quit!
(Yes you should quit!)

I'll make it known I do enjoy my sleep
To snooze before 9 feel such a treat
The simple cure for when I'm feeling blue
But it takes a fraction of distraction
From some good old Netflix action
And I realise to my surprise
That the clock – Is chiming 2

Now then, where was I?
Procrastination is my final flaw
My mind feels the need to explore
Writing lists I just dismiss so easily
See a nice big shiny thing and...
Oh, oh hello – it's been so long hasn't it
Oh – where was I?

And again now
